Hi there! I’m Lulu, the founder of Mimoso Pets. Originally from Mexico City, I spent most of my life there before making the move to Sydney in late 2003. While I absolutely adore Mexico—its vibrant culture, warmth, and breathtaking beauty—I now proudly call Australia my home.
At Mimoso, we’re a socially conscious brand dedicated to designing and creating one-of-a-kind artisanal pet accessories. Not only are our products unique and stylish, but they also make a positive impact on the world.
As an animal lover, I wanted to create accessories that are as beautiful as they are functional, while showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of indigenous women from my homeland. Our goal is to bring a little extra flair to Aussie pups and give pet parents a chance to express their own creativity through these handmade pieces.
To us, dogs are more than just pets—they’re family. They bring so much love and joy to our lives, and we’re thrilled to share that joy with you.

Supporting Indigneous Women
Mimoso products are handmade by Indigenous Women of the southern Mexican State of Chiapas. They use traditional techniques passed from one generation to the next. This is how the women from these communities support their families. We support fair trading, so we work directly with these talented women to ensure they receive a fair and guaranteed income.
We aspire to make a meaningful contribution to the lives and well-being of these communities and their families and we are honoured that each and every purchase of our accessories will make a difference and help to improve their living and education standards. We cannot do this on our own, but we strive to make a start.
Educating Children
Children in these communities are often forced to work from early in their childhood. This deprives them of the opportunity to receive an education. By supporting the women of Chiapas, they are better able to support their families. This means the children are not required to work and are free to go to school full time.
Saving Dogs
All profits from Mimoso products sold in Mexico are fully donated to support medical care for rescue dogs. When you purchase one of our beautiful collars for your dog, you may be helping save the life of another dog in need!
